About The Position

Military & Health Research Foundation (MHRF) is seeking an Electroencephalogram (EEG) Technologist at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center (CRDAMC) in Fort Hood, Texas. The role provides clinical and administrative support in a fast-paced, 24/7 teaching hospital, assisting healthcare providers with examinations, treatments, diagnostic procedures, and clinic operations while delivering patient-centered care in accordance with Government standards and clinical protocols. The technologist performs routine and specialized neurodiagnostic studies, including EEG, nerve conduction studies (NCS), and evoked potentials (EP), for patients ranging from neonates to geriatrics and across outpatient, inpatient, emergency, and critical-care settings. Responsibilities include preparing patients and equipment, acquiring and reviewing study data, adjusting procedures and equipment as clinically indicated and with physician/provider approval, processing and submitting studies for interpretation, maintaining records, and supporting safe and efficient clinic operations. The role requires formal training through an accredited EEG technologist program and ABRET EEG Technician certification, along with current ACLS and BLS credentials. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and have at least one year of recent post-graduate clinical EEG experience, including actively performing EEG duties within the past year. An associate’s degree in neuroscience, biology, or a related field is preferred but not required. Online training is not accepted as formal training. Employment is at a military medical treatment facility and involves compliance with facility policies, vaccination requirements, PPE use, screening, and security procedures. The work can involve physical exertion and exposure to clinical and environmental hazards.
