  • A proven track record developing and commercializing printed or flexible electronic devices, batteries, or sensors.
  • Experience in technology evaluation or scouting, including familiarity with patent literature and market analysis.
  • Deep expertise in redox chemistry, particularly for energy storage, chemical sensing, or electrocatalysis.
  • Expert-level understanding of electrochemical principles, materials science, electronics, and wireless communication technologies.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and a passion for exploring and commercializing new technologies.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and compellingly to technical and executive audiences.
  • Proficiency in advanced data analysis, statistical methods, and modeling relevant to electrochemistry.
  • Ability to connect scientific and technical innovation with business strategy and market needs.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills to drive complex projects from concept to completion.
  • Extensive hands-on laboratory experience with electrochemical methods such as cyclic voltammetry, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), and galvanostatic cycling.
  • Proven ability to present technical findings to nontechnical executive audiences, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate emerging electrochemical technologies, materials, electronics, wireless communication technologies, and manufacturing techniques relevant to flexible electronics, sensors, and printed power sources; conduct technical and market due diligence to identify opportunities.
  • Lead the design, development, and execution of R&D projects in printed batteries and electronics, sensors, energy harvesting, and other electrochemical and electronic devices using high-speed roll-to-roll processes.
  • Apply redox chemistry expertise to optimize battery performance, improve sensor sensitivity and selectivity, and develop electrochemical systems.
  • Apply expertise in circuits, semiconductors, transistors, and wireless communications to develop and optimize smart sensor solutions.
  • Oversee hands-on laboratory work, including experiment design and prototyping devices with potential to scale for manufacturing.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior scientists and cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Present scientific findings and technology strategies to C-suite and executive staff, including serving as the primary technical expert in strategic sessions.
  • Manage innovation project timelines, budgets, and external collaborations with academic partners or suppliers.
