About The Position

Leidos Defense is seeking an experienced Electro-Mechanical Technician for its Product Integration Section. The technician will work closely with engineers and customers to design and build hardware that meets unique technical requirements. The role involves interpreting drawings, applying critical thinking, fabricating production and prototype hardware, testing it, and deploying it. The position calls for mechanical aptitude, an interest in hardware fabrication, good work ethic and responsibility, and the ability to collaborate in a fast-paced environment and take on varied duties to support the team.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of applicable experience.
• Mechanical aptitude and interest in hardware fabrication.
• Good work ethic and sense of responsibility.
• Good communication skills and ability to work well on a team with diverse skillsets in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience reading schematic drawings and other manufacturing documentation.
• Experience building electrical and/or mechanical systems.
• IPC-WHMA-A-620 training or demonstrated ability to perform cable fabrication work.
• Resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville-North Alabama area.
• U.S. citizenship.
• Possess and be able to maintain a Final Secret Clearance, or meet eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
