About The Position

This 2nd shift position is responsible for general maintenance assignments and day-to-day equipment and facility repairs in a manufacturing environment. The technician may also support projects such as rebuilding pumps and motors and performing other equipment repairs. Duties may include handling hazardous materials and waste, water treatment, and performing inspections.

The role performs preventative, corrective, and routine maintenance; troubleshoots and repairs equipment; follows safety protocols; references equipment documentation; completes required paperwork; maintains work records; and keeps the work environment clean.

Requirements

• Journeyman and/or apprenticeship technical training, or equivalent; equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of education.
• 5+ years of maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with quality management systems.
• Certified forklift operator or ability to become certified.
• Respirator certified or ability to become certified.
• Successful completion of Hazardous Waste (RCRA) Intermediate level training.

Responsibilities

• Follow specified safety protocols when performing routine and non-routine maintenance procedures.
• Perform preventative, corrective, and routine maintenance on facilities equipment to ensure proper functionality, and complete necessary paperwork accurately.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment failures, identify appropriate solutions, and repair equipment as needed.
• Use equipment blueprints, diagrams, and other resource materials to support proper inspection, repair, and equipment use.
• Maintain accurate records of work in progress and completed tasks.
• Maintain a clean work environment.
• Support projects such as rebuilding pumps and motors and completing other equipment repairs as needed.
• At times, handle hazardous materials and waste, perform water treatment, and conduct inspections.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
