About The Position

Exentec serves the semiconductor, life sciences, and other advanced technology industries, offering integration and installation of everything from high-purity piping for gas, chemical, and water systems to chilled water, wastewater, and HVAC systems, along with a full suite of electrical and controls systems. Exentec can design, supply, install, hook up, and commission our own line of gas, chemical, and cleanroom equipment, including external OEM equipment supply and installation, such as cooling towers, chillers, pumps, heat exchangers, etc. Exentec is seeking a skilled Electro‑Mechanical Technicians to join our Phoenix team! In this role, you will assemble, wire, test, and validate a variety of electro‑mechanical systems and complete final product builds. You will work from engineering specifications, schematics, and daily production schedules to ensure high‑quality, reliable system performance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience as an electro‑mechanical technician or in a similar manufacturing role.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting abilities.
  • Experience with point‑to‑point wiring.
  • Ability to interpret wiring schematics and engineering drawings.
  • Strong electro‑mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in a technical field, apprenticeship, or formal electrical training preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform wiring and assembly of various electro‑mechanical systems to meet daily production and quality targets.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, engineering drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Lay out components based on engineering drawings and verify builds through complete point‑to‑point testing.
  • Recommend improvements and assist in diagnosing faulty equipment.
  • Use electrical tools and equipment such as multimeters, wire strippers, crimpers, soldering tools, automated wire cutters, and labeling machines.
  • Install electrical and electronic components and hardware according to engineering requirements.
  • Conduct visual inspections to ensure workmanship, cosmetic quality, and compliance with drawings.
  • Communicate time‑saving or process‑improvement ideas to team leads.
  • Work with redlined documentation and collaborate with team members during assembly and troubleshooting.
  • Validate systems based on customer requirements.
  • Report issues and design concerns through the established engineering feedback process.
  • Maintain adherence to workmanship standards and accuracy in daily tasks.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and a strong customer‑service mindset.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
