About The Position
Dover Food Retail (DFR) is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician to provide routine maintenance support to operations departments in a highly automated environment. This multi-craft position will be responsible for troubleshooting mechanical, electronic, and electrical industrial equipment for a designated department within the plant. The ideal candidate will possess a continuous improvement mindset, focusing on preventative maintenance and quick repairs to meet production objectives.
Requirements
- Enrolled in Trade/Technical School certification
- 3+ years Mechanical troubleshooting and repair
- 3+ years plus Electrical troubleshooting and repair
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Good teamwork and communication skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to work with machine operators, mechanics, contractors and/or vendors.
- Must have a positive attitude.
Nice To Haves
- Trade/Technical School certification
- 5+ years Mechanical troubleshooting and repair
- 5+ years plus Electrical troubleshooting and repair
- Experience in robotics
- Controls Troubleshooting experience
- Networking Troubleshooting experience
Responsibilities
- Assists other Technicians in the repair and maintenance of equipment.
- Diagnoses mechanical and electrical problems using technical drawings (e.g., blueprints, electronic/mechanical schematics) and diagnostic tools (e.g., multi-meter, laptop).
- Install, maintain, test, troubleshoot & repair electrical, electronic systems, control and components of industrial machines, tools, and production/utility equipment.
- Diagnose, repair, and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment. Including but not limited to seals, gaskets and bearings on motors, pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, etc.
- Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical/electronic problems with equipment, networks, PC logic control Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and external Input/Output (I/O) devices where the repair is not immediately visible or obvious.
