About The Position

Indotronix is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician III for an onsite job in Maple Grove, MN. This is a temporary position expected to last 12+ months, with the possibility of becoming a permanent role. The work schedule is 9/80. The role requires the ability to obtain a Secret clearance and involves daily onsite work. The technician must be able to understand and work from engineering drawings and sketches, follow written and verbal instructions, and be willing to work additional hours, including weekends, as needed. Responsibilities include performing repetitive to non-repetitive assembly operations of electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies on ordnance products. The role also involves assisting team members in identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities, troubleshooting, and transitioning products into production.

Requirements

  • Proficient use of electronic test equipment, electrical assembly tools, and hand tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and sketches.
  • Precision and fine motor skills required for micro/nano scale fabrication, assembly, and test with near-zero defects.
  • High degree of mechanical aptitude.
  • Knowledge of J-STD-001 requirements.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Must be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to communicate feedback to the team to support design, fabrication, and test improvements.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve assembly issues.
  • Cirris and/or Automated Test Equipment operator experience.
  • Troubleshooting of electronic and electro-mechanical systems.
  • Trained and proficient in manufacturing and quality requirements of IPC/WHMA-A-620 Class 3.
  • Knowledge of J-STD-001 requirements.
  • Basic understanding of GD&T.

Responsibilities

  • Perform repetitive to non-repetitive assembly operations of electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies on ordnance products.
  • Assist team members in identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Troubleshoot and transition products into production.
  • Conduct tests using electronics test equipment (i.e., scopes, meters, etc.) and generate test report data.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with safety objectives and policies.
