About The Position

This role performs hands-on assembly of electronic and mechanical assemblies in a classified production environment within the Antenna Integration Factory (AIF) at the McKinney, Texas site. The work includes both production and development/prototype units, and the assembler works directly with engineering on production builds and rework tasks. This is an onsite, second-shift role requiring an active, transferable U.S. Secret security clearance before the start date; U.S. citizenship is required for clearance eligibility. Work is performed using detailed instructions, photographs, engineering documentation, and production systems. Tasks include inspecting parts and sub-assemblies, routing wires, mating connectors, installing brackets and sub-assemblies, and applying thread-locking compound and specified torque to fasteners. Work takes place at seated workstations and standing positions, using manual torque tools and, for some builds, automated bonding machines. Assemblers also perform non-linear rework on units that fail testing, document completed operations, inspect affected areas, and promptly raise errors or discrepancies with a supervisor and supporting engineer. The position typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent, or related vocational/technical education, and at least two years of relevant experience. RTX notes that relocation benefits are not available. Eligible applicants may qualify for benefits and incentive programs, subject to business-unit and position-specific terms.
