About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER PCS division is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Assembler for its Calgary, Alberta site. This site is a central hub for Eaton's electrical sector and is one of six Eaton Satellite locations across Canada, designed to support larger manufacturing facilities and meet local market requirements. The Calgary site hosts key functions including Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Assembly Operations, fostering collaboration, innovation, and inclusivity among employees. This role is responsible for having thorough knowledge of all standard Panelboard, Control Product, and some custom product assemblies and related materials. The Eaton Satellite locations are smaller assemble-to-order facilities that complement the medium to large manufacturing facilities within Canada.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 diploma, GED or equivalent from an accredited institution is required.
  • Candidates must reside within 80 kilometers of Calgary, Alberta to be considered.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship now and in the future.
  • Effective communication / interpersonal skills
  • Reading, comprehension and mathematical skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Knowledge / experience with hand and power tools
  • Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrates continuous learning through cross training, learning new skills, refreshing prior skill

  • 3 months experience working in a manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

  • Work to standard operating procedures, bill of materials, manufacturing information, and instruction from Management or Engineering to established procedures
  • Responsible for visual inspections of material before and after assembly by conducting Inspection for conformance to drawings and specifications, functional operation and appearance and making mechanical adjustments as needed
  • Perform pack and ship duties
  • Maintain equipment and perform housekeeping duties as necessary using the principles of 5S
  • Assist team in achieving plant and department goals
  • Assist with on-the-job training and continuous improvement
  • Fosters an environment that promotes Eaton’s goals, philosophies, and encourages continuous improvement through participation and teamwork
