This position will be responsible for assembly, calibration, and diagnostic testing of Quartz MEMS sensors and IMU assemblies in Concord, CA. The role involves working under close supervision and updating manual and computerized status reports. Key tasks include performing basic assembly using tools like jewelers' screwdrivers, tweezers, cutters, and soldering irons, often under a microscope. The assembler will also apply epoxies, masking, and coating to products, prepare fragile parts, and operate cure ovens. Simple tests will be run, and the position requires flexibility to move within the assembly line. Understanding Kan Ban requirements and basic Lean awareness, including standardized work instructions, is necessary. Cross-checks and production verification will be performed, but not formal inspection. Assignments are typically limited to one product, and proficiency in 25% of line requirements for one product is expected. Other job-related duties may be assigned. The shift is from 6:30 am to 3 pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime as business needs require.
