About The Position

Electro-Mechanical Technician plays a crucial role in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of various electromechanical systems and equipment in our plants. This position is pivotal for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of machinery that combines electrical, electronic, and mechanical technologies, which is vital in maintaining the seamless operation of the production processes in this sector. The primary responsibilities of an Electromechanical Technician include designing, testing, and operating machines and other equipment. This role entails working closely with electronic and mechanical components and systems. Technicians must understand hydraulic, pneumatic, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) as they often play a critical part in routine maintenance and troubleshooting tasks.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in mechanical systems, quality testing, or engineering support roles.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and maintaining complex mechanical and testing equipment.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality tools, and laboratory techniques.
  • Excellent analytical skills for interpreting mechanical data, diagnosing problems, and implementing solutions.
  • Ability to write clear, concise reports and documentation for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Commitment to safety and strict adherence to safety protocols and guidelines.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or a related technical field preferred.
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing) preferred.
  • Certification in equipment maintenance or quality systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Installing and performing maintenance on electromechanical equipment.
  • Diagnosing problems and making necessary repairs to equipment and systems.
  • Modifying and testing equipment to ensure it operates safely and effectively.
  • Consulting with engineers and other professionals on component and system designs.
  • Maintaining detailed records of systems performance.
  • Implementing operational standards and procedures to increase efficiency in operations.
  • Reading and interpreting schematic drawings and electrical system diagrams.
  • Conducting regular maintenance schedules to prevent system failures.
  • Repairing critical electromechanical components such as sensors, motors, and displays.
  • Collaborating with team members to optimize system performance based on data analysis and feedback.
