About The Position
Performs a variety of electrical trade functions such as the installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment for the generation, distribution, or utilization of electric energy.
Requirements
- Proof of Legal Residency and proof of US citizenship
- Must be licensed/certified by the State for his/her specific trade at the full-performance start date.
- NICET Level 2 certification (or the ability to obtain it within 6 months of hire).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of computer software programs to include Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook required.
- Rounded training and experience, usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship, licensed Journeyman or Masters
Responsibilities
- Install and repair of a variety of electrical equipment, such as generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, or other transmission equipment.
- Work from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications.
- Locate and diagnose trouble in the electrical system or equipment.
- Work standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment.
- Use of a variety of electrician’s hand tools and test & measurement instruments.
- Maintain the general cleanliness and appearance of assigned spaces.
- Assist others as part of the maintenance team as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
