About The Position

Southern Industrial Constructors, Inc. is seeking an Electrician for a project in Liberty, North Carolina. The role involves electrical installation and construction work, including interpreting blueprints and plans, preparing layouts, terminating panels using LOTO, installing cable tray, pulling wire, bending conduit, and working with motor controls, metering, and branch circuit calculations. Candidates hired for the project will be considered for benefits and paid time off after three months. Significant travel may be required.

Requirements

Skilled written and verbal communication.
Complete all safety and general job training required by SIC.
Follow SIC and customer safety and quality processes and procedures at all times.
Able to use required personal protective equipment and lift up to 50 pounds.
Able to safely access property, buildings, structures, wharves, rooftops, elevated positions, and confined spaces.
Able to meet strenuous physical demands associated with the essential functions of the position.
Able to safely operate involved equipment and tools.
Able to stand for long periods, bend consistently, work in confined spaces with limited access, work on ladders and in personnel lifts and workboats, and work in awkward body positions.

Responsibilities

Read and follow blueprints, sketches, building plans, directions, and installation plans.
Prepare layouts using tools such as voltage testers, wire strippers, levels, and pipe benders.
Terminate panels using LOTO.
Plan installation sequences to avoid obstructions and conflicts with other construction work.
Run cable tray, pull wire, and bend various types of conduit.
Work with motor controls and metering.
Size branch circuit overcurrent protection devices.
Calculate loads for single-phase and three-phase branch circuits.
Work within precise limits or standards of accuracy and evaluate information using measurable or checkable standards.
Compare the size, shape, and form of lines, figures, and objects.
Visualize objects in three dimensions using plans and drawings.
Perform work overhead, beneath structures, and in other positions required by conditions.
Lift and carry objects of varying weights.
Recognize and respond to dangerous conditions or situations.
Attend work regularly.
Complete required safety and general job training and follow SIC and customer safety and quality procedures.
Perform other duties as required.
