About The Position

Journeyperson Electrician DMMI Maintenance - Radiator, Dept. 248. Core Hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM. A resume is required in order to be considered for this position. Associates must meet most job requirements at time of bid year (possess approximately 75% of requirements as outlined in the job posting) and demonstrate ability to meet full scope of job requirements within one year.

Requirements

High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required
Must be a Machine Repair or Electrician Journeyperson (as recognized by the Department of Labor) or have 5 years equivalent Machine Repair or Electrician experience working with a recognized Machine Repair or Electrician Journeyperson
Review of safety hazards unique to the position
Be able to go online with HMI/PLC
Basic understanding of HMI/PLC programs/software/editing
Upload/Download HMI/PLC
Troubleshooting/Search/create program backups for HMI/PLC
Be able to go online with Servos
Basic understanding of Servo programs/software/editing
Upload/Download Servos
Troubleshooting/Search/create program backups for Servos
To be able to make teach point adjustments on Robots
Basic programming/Editing for Robots
Upload/Download Robots
Troubleshooting/Search/create program backups for Robots
Basic knowledge of component replacement procedures for Robots
Software types/basic use for Robots
Understand vision inspection systems/components
Basic program concepts for vision systems
Upload/download vision systems
Concepts of Core Assembly machines
Basic process of making cores
Identify key components of Core Assembly machines
Able to replace and program temperature controllers
Able to troubleshoot/Repair heater circuits
Basic inverter operation
Gas burner & gas apparatus & controls
Modutrol motor operation & Igniter controls
Thermocouples diagnosis
Interpret pressures and vacuum
Operate and home furnace
Shut down and start up procedure for furnace
Understanding Hydraulic system for press
Operate press
Home press
Understanding pneumatic system for press
Understanding pascal clamps
Two years with DMMI or at least a minimum of 6 months in current position to 1st shift plant wide if posting for the first time since external hire unless promotable
Length of service (LOS) for journeypersons who have successfully completed DMMI's apprenticeship training program and are posting within the skilled trades area, will be based on the date of entry into the apprenticeship training program
Meets or Better Last Performance Appraisal
No Active Written Discipline
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position

Make teach point adjustments on Robots, basic programming/editing, upload/download, troubleshoot/search/create program backups, basic knowledge of component replacement procedures, software types/basic use

Understand concepts of Core Assembly machines, basic process of making cores, identify key components of machine
