About The Position

Shady Grove Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Electrician for our Operation Facilities Department who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing. As an electrician you will perform assigned work order service requests and preventive maintenance on equipment, machinery, and buildings with required documentation of maintenance activity within the CMMS. You will maintain and install wiring, control, and lighting systems, and repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand tools and power tools, as needed. Additionally, you will install electrical apparatus, fixtures, and equipment for alarms and other systems. You will read blueprints, technical diagrams, and identify electrical problems with a variety of testing devices. You will also work with outside vendors and the AHJ, etc., on all electrical related activities. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 3-5 years commercial or hospital electrical experience
  • MD, VA or DC Journeyman Electrical Licensure required (Master Preferred)
  • Valid Driver’s license
  • Position requires commercial electrical knowledge as a minimum.
  • Position will also need familiarity with HVAC systems and low voltage wiring.
