About The Position

Responsible for effectively maintaining all electrical equipment. Maintains all electrical equipment throughout the property. Responds to work orders on a daily basis. Assists other engineers and mechanics with repairs; handles day-to-day electrical operations. Routinely inspects all electrical equipment, identifying potential problems and/or safety hazards, and repairing same, as needed. Takes readings on all electrical equipment. Wires electrical equipment for convention exhibits and special events. Maintains an adequate supply of materials needed for the efficient performance of job. Coordinates and installs all new electrical equipment and/or wiring. Maintains all logs necessary for conformance with established standards. Ensures adherence to all OSHA safety requirements and safety policies. Promotes an atmosphere of fun for all casino guests. Encourages mutual respect, dignity and integrity with all employees by setting positive examples at all times.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy and procedure manuals, maintenance instructions, and other related documents.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries from other employees or guests.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense reasoning to variety of situations.
  • Regularly required to talk or hear.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, sit and use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls.
  • Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, and to sit, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Regularly required to climb a twelve (12) foot ladder.
  • Regularly required to lift and/or move up to seventy-five (75) pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Applicant must successfully pass a color blindness test to distinguish color.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
  • Occupationally significant combination of vocational education, apprentice training, in-plant training and on-the-job training preferred.
  • Appropriate electrical certification preferred.
