About The Position

The role of the Electrician and RUPS/SUPS technician is to ensure the proper and safe operation and maintenance of the complex electrical systems and subsystems. This position requires the individual to be on-site during assigned hours and available to respond to on-site emergencies. Responsibilities include inspecting, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing complex electrical power distribution systems, as well as operating and performing Preventive Maintenance on these systems. The role also involves performing certification testing and ensuring facility code compliance with Federal, State, and Local safety and health standards. The position offers all shifts, with specific schedules including 7am - 3pm, (SUN - THU), (TUE - SAT), or (FRI - TUE).

Requirements

• Possess a Journeyman commercial/industrial license issued by a State or other accredited board.
• Must possess at least (4) four years of Journeyman Level experience (obtained within the past 7 years) performing inspection, troubleshooting, repairing, operating and performing preventive maintenance on complex electrical power distribution systems
• Possess accreditation by National Electrical Testing Association (NETA)
• Demonstrate a high degree of proficiency in Building Operations
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Possess a professional demeanor
• Detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, troubleshoot, repair complex electrical power distribution systems
• Operate and perform Preventive Maintenance on complex facility electrical power distribution systems
• Perform Certification testing
• Facility Code Compliance (assure compliance with Federal, State and Local safety and health standards)
• Respond to on-site emergencies
