About The Position

Repairs and maintains electrical equipment throughout Ball Arena. Adds, moves, repairs, or removes electrical power at various locations throughout the facility and grounds. Serves as the house electrician for shows and concerts. Oversees and schedules electrical work. Solicits work bids as directed. Provides information regarding changes/repairs, etc., to the Exec. Director of Engineering and Sustainability for consideration and approval. Maintains all electrical equipment including repair, replacement of fuses, breakers, meter starters, high and low voltage circuits, lights, ballasts and controls. Maintains all work logs on a routine basis to ensure proper and timely recording of work activity for the assigned work area. Assists with event production by supplying adequate power requirements for all events. Travels to other KSE properties to provide assistance as needed. Assists other trades as needed. Requirements

  • Minimum High school diploma or GED.
  • Must possess current journeyman electrical and City of Denver and State of Colorado electrical certifications.
  • Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
  • Three to five years’ experience in all phases of electrical installation, maintenance and repair to include blueprint and electrical schematic reading and writing, electrical systems (high/low voltage, 3-phase electrical, etc.) are required.
  • Ability to acquire or produce and maintain a valid driver’s license and meet company vehicle driving standards.
  • Thorough knowledge of electrical schematic reading and writing, electrical systems including high voltage, low voltage, 3-phase electrical, local codes, UBC and NEC rules and regulations and OSHA safety standards.
  • Ability to work a varied schedule to include evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge/skill in Word and Excel.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of MCC panels preferred.
