As an Electrician at Z Modular Power, LLC a division of Zekelman Industries , Chandler, AZ, you will be responsible for assembling, installing, maintaining, and testing electrical systems in commercial and industrial construction environments. This role is ideal for a highly skilled electrician who demonstrates strong code knowledge, precision workmanship, and a commitment to safety and project excellence.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as a commercial electrician.
  • State Electrical License (Journeyman Card) required.
  • Valid state driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Strong working knowledge of NEC and building codes.
  • Ability to read blueprints and perform layout work accurately.
  • Experience running electrical conduit with precision.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Dependable, self-motivated, and safety focused.
  • Willingness to work 8–10 hours per day, overtime, and night shifts as required.
  • Ability to crawl, stand, stoop, bend, crouch, kneel, sit, and reach as required.
  • Ability to routinely lift more than 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions depending on job location.
  • Ability to wear required PPE including hard hats, safety glasses, and respirators when required.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, install, maintain, and test electrical equipment and wiring systems in commercial settings.
  • Prepare work areas for installation of electrical equipment and systems.
  • Install electrical components in accordance with NEC code and project specifications.
  • Connect wiring and equipment according to approved drawings and job requirements.
  • Operate power tools and equipment when properly trained and certified.
  • Set up and operate hydraulic benders, power threaders, power pullers, and cable vacuum systems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and electrical drawings to ensure accurate installations.
  • Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances according to plans.
  • Secure and properly store equipment after use.
  • Deliver projects safely, on schedule, and within scope.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of applicable building and electrical codes.
  • Promote safe work practices in accordance with company policies and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain regular, full-time, predictable onsite attendance.
