About The Position

PepsiCo Foods Canada has a current opening at the Frito Lay Facility in Cambridge, ON for a Licensed Electrician. This role involves the maintenance of site equipment, including the completion of preventative and predictive maintenance inspections and electrical and/or mechanical repairs. The electrician will execute daily assigned work, manage emergency breakdowns, and support in root cause analysis and prevention of future downtime events. Collaboration with operators and other classifications across the site is key to reducing downtime, safety, and quality risks. Effective communication for shift crossovers, work order feedback, production meetings, and activity coordination between shifts is also required. The position demands above-average troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve issues in a diverse, fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Must currently possess a valid Electrical license in the province of Ontario (309A or 442)
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required
  • Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking work orders and recording hours
  • Strong work ethic, with a positive attitude and motivation to succeed in a team environment
  • Demonstrated continuous improvement mindset with a focus on safety, efficiency, and reliability
  • Exceptional communication skills and basic computer literacy
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 50lbs as required

Nice To Haves

  • Certificate of apprenticeship as an asset
  • Secondary trade license would be an asset with associated pay incentive
  • Knowledge of PLC and control systems strongly preferred
