About The Position

FDI Services Inc. is currently seeking a Journeyperson Electrician for our City of Edmonton Waste Management Centre Facility in Edmonton, AB. The successful candidates will be responsible for safely executing Electrical duties in a facilities maintenance setting.

Requirements

• Committed to working safely and efficiently
• Excellent problem-solving skills required
• Good analytical ability and manual dexterity
• Successful candidates are required to have a valid Alberta driver’s license and provide a 5-year clean driver’s abstract
• Must be able to perform physically demanding work for a long duration of time
• Must be able to perform duties at heights
• Must have demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision
• Must be able to complete all pre-access training as identified prior to mobilization
• Electrical Journeyperson certificate from a recognized provincial training authority.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot electrical and control system
• Install/replace/repair/maintain electrical systems including but not limited to; circuits, motors, low & high voltage systems, sub-panels, feeders, transformers, lighting systems, heating/cooling systems, generations systems, bonding, grounding & cathodic protection systems
• Preventative/predictive maintenance
• May perform other related duties as assigned
