About The Position

West Liberty Foods is a leading food manufacturer that produces a wide range of meat and poultry products found in national grocery stores and restaurant chains. This role supports operations by ensuring the continuous functioning of machinery and equipment through electrical maintenance and repair.

Requirements

  • Work a rotating schedule, requiring every other weekend work. 12 hour shifts.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an electrical field in an industrial or manufacturing setting is preferred.
  • Basic computer skills to communicate and process data, preferred experience with CMMS, L2L, Google Suite.
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States; no sponsorships are available.
  • Ability to stand for long periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, including above the head and below the waist.
  • Must be able to climb ladders and do work on aerial work platforms as needed.
  • Ability to work in varying temperature conditions.
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed.
  • Ability to adjust quickly to changing demands.
  • Must be able to work with limited supervision.
  • Must practice good personal hygiene.
  • Candidates must successfully pass a post-offer/pre-employment drug test, background screen, physical and E-Verify.

Nice To Haves

  • Licensed electrician certification is preferred.
  • Associates degree or equivalent in a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring and equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot systems, components, and equipment to correct problems.
  • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and need for adjustments or repairs to ensure compliance with codes.
  • Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of the system.
  • Reading and understanding mechanical and electrical diagrams and technical repair manuals.
  • Operate lifts and material handling tools as needed.
  • Able to adapt to a fast paced environment.
  • Visually inspect and test items as needed.
  • Perform project work as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned
