Provides preventive maintenance and repair work throughout the hospital's electrical systems. This position is responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance of all hospital electrical systems to include, normal electrical distribution systems, critical power distribution systems, emergency power distribution systems, fire alarm systems, low voltage and high voltage control systems. Supervises general facility maintenance workers by allocating and coordinating workflow, training, and advising, in more complex electrical repair work throughout the hospital. Provides skilled preventive and corrective repair work throughout the hospital. Has access to, and is responsible for, performing assigned duties in locked medication rooms. This position is aware that they are not responsible for medications, and they should report any unsecured medications to a licensed professional. Maintain established department and hospital policies, procedures, objectives, quality assurance, safety, environment, infection and hazardous material control. Performs other duties as directed.
