Electrician
About The Position
National Power is seeking an experienced electrician to be under the direction of and reporting to the Critical Power Regional Director. The ideal candidate will primarily be responsible for performing electrical work in the installation, alteration, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, fixtures, and equipment for National Power customers. This candidate will have the ability to independently assess the needs of a job based on schematics or blueprints but may also conduct assignments based on written and oral instructions. They will also bring a positive attitude, teamwork abilities, and a strong commitment to safety.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Possess, and able to document, 3+ years of experience in commercial electrical installation
Responsibilities
- Must be familiar with the National Electric Code (NEC) using it to verify proper installation requirements and designs
- Provide on-site client installation, repairs, and maintenance of equipment
- Oversee all electrical services and perform tests on electrical equipment and circuits
- Troubleshoot issues and resolve any requests or concerns that come up in a timely manner
- Must possess the ability to look at a project and forecast future labor and material requirements
- Maintain relationships with customers and follow company guidelines
- Guide clients on how to properly use equipment
- Ability and knowledge to make suggestions for electrical equipment upgrades at customer sites
- Update project drawings and prepare relevant documents and reports
