About The Position

The essential functions of each individual position are determined and maintained by each individual department. Estimates material needs and prepares requisitions as required for various jobs. Constructs, maintains, and repair overhead and underground power lines; install conduits, wires, pull boxes, plugs, lights, switchboards, controllers and switches; repairs, replaces and anchors light bulbs and fluorescent light fixtures. Maintains lighting and power system. Installs electrical systems and wiring in county buildings and on county property. Locates and repairs defects including short circuit and other sources of power failure. Tests, locates and repairs trouble in electrical circuits and equipment. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma, or GED, and four (4) years’ experience as an electrician with two (2) years’ experience with physical plants And Possession of a valid electrician's certificate. License required or must obtain license within 12-month period Terms of Employment This is a non-exempt position. This is an At-Will employment position. Requirements

• High school diploma, or GED, and four (4) years’ experience as an electrician with two (2) years’ experience with physical plants
• Possession of a valid electrician's certificate.
• License required or must obtain license within 12-month period
