About The Position

This role involves troubleshooting and maintaining electrical systems, including control and power circuits, motors, and PLCs. The electrician will be responsible for maintaining motor control centers and electrical rooms, performing safety checks, and coordinating repairs with scheduled downtime. Continuous learning is emphasized, with a requirement for 16 hours of annual continuing education. The position also includes instrument calibration and troubleshooting, documenting observations, and performing basic maintenance functions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Electrical related degree or two (2) years of electrical experience.
• Possess or be working towards journeyman’s license.
• Ability to communicate both verbally and written
• Basic math skills
• Skill levels associated with “A”, “B”, and “C” technician.
• Maintain a safe, positive work attitude.
• Must be self-motivated and able to work well with others.
• Willingness to be a team member.

Nice To Haves

• Complete a minimum of 16 hours of continuing education annually.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot control and power circuits, motors, PLC’s.
• Maintain motor control centers and electrical rooms.
• Perform the necessary safety checks to maintain the equipment in a safe and efficient condition.
• Attend seminars and training programs as directed to improve electrical skills and knowledge.
• Coordinate repairs with scheduled downtime.
• Maintain safe levels of spare electrical parts for critical pieces of equipment.
• Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot instruments related to the process.
• Document and communicate observations of problem areas and potential safety hazards.
• Perform basic maintenance functions.
