This position involves wiring electrical power and control systems, and laying-out, assembling, wiring, and installing electrical boxes and panels on railroad maintenance machinery. The role requires the ability to read electrical wiring schematics, familiarity with repair shop equipment and tools, and a minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical work applied to buildings, machinery, and heavy equipment. An associate degree in electrical or computer engineering, an Electrician's license, and experience with PLCs and advanced control systems are considered helpful. While Journeyman status is preferred, candidates with less experience may be considered for student Electrician positions.
