Requirements

Minimum 2-5 years relevant working experience in a manufacturing environment
Must have a valid Ontario industrial electrician trade license 442A
Experience troubleshooting with PLC’s (AB Factory Talk, Studio & SEW), logic controllers and variable speed and servo drives (Rockwell, SEW & Others)
Experience reading and troubleshooting electrical diagrams and schematics drawings
Experience in servicing General Power Distribution Systems (including IR scanning, oil analysis on transformers, visual and electrical inspection)
Experience on troubleshooting Life Support Systems (fire alarms, emergency lighting, speakers and others)
Experience inspecting and troubleshooting Lightning Protection Systems to ensure resistance meets the ESA Specifications and all applicable local regulations if applicable

Nice To Haves

Desirable to have a valid Construction and Maintenance 309A
PLC programming on controls, network and automation experience would be an asset
Hands on experience on panel troubleshooting, servo drives, plant controls (SCADA), and highly automated packaging would be considered an asset
Experience in a food manufacturing environment would be considered a definite asset

Responsibilities

Demonstrate solid communication and interpersonal skills in a team-based work environment
Ensure production downtime is minimized and production output is maximized
Perform electrical preventative maintenance on all facility equipment as assigned
Ensure the Canadian Electrical Code with Provincial supplement is adhered to for all plant equipment
Respond promptly to breakdown calls and troubleshoot/repair the problems
Perform breakdown analysis to create action plans to address root causes
Perform electrical maintenance activities safely and report unsafe conditions
Perform PLC troubleshooting
Maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization in maintenance shop
Requires standing, walking, reaching and bending for periods of time across all areas of the facility. Ability to lift up to 30lbs in a safe manner.
Reliable attendance and punctuality; flexibility in work schedule to accommodate business requirements; including weekends and rotating shifts
Some repairs will be conducted in high or low temperature and/or confined space
