About The Position
This role is responsible for preventative maintenance and repair of electrical equipment within the facility. It functions as a technical support lead on shift, requiring successful interaction with Operations.
Requirements
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent safety and attendance record
- Training or technical degree in industrial electricity
- Extensive experience in programming and configuration of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and Variable Frequency Drives (VFD)
- Extensive experience in troubleshooting including PC based programming of both PLCs and VFDs
- Extensive experience in PC and Control System Networking and Industrial Communications Systems
- Valid driver's license
- Proficient with electrical instruments, hand/power tools
- Strong mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Knowledge of Hydraulic & Pneumatic controls
- Knowledge and understanding of electrical principles and electronics
- Knowledge of diverse electrical equipment
- Experience working on overhead bridge cranes
