About The Position

The Controls Build Electrician I supports the Controls Build Job Leaders in tasks such as panel building, wiring, plumbing, debugging, shipping, and installations. This position requires the use of basic hand tools, attention to detail, and good communication skills. The role involves collaborating with Controls Build Job Leaders and Electricians to gain expertise in all aspects of controls build. Responsibilities include performing tasks like drilling, tapping holes, mounting wireways and DIN rails, and wiring components, creating cutouts and knockouts for enclosures, managing job parts, updating drawing packets, communicating project changes, assisting with panel build and machine wiring, supporting power up procedures, participating in customer site installations, engraving ID tags for components, and observing safety procedures. Additionally, the position requires maintaining a clean and orderly work area and performing any other assigned tasks within the scope of the position and regulations.

Requirements

  • High School degree or GED
  • Familiar with hand tools
  • Effectively communicate orally and in writing
  • Ability to work independently and as a team
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic math: add, subtract, multiply, divide, fractions, percentages

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Controls Build Job Leaders and Electricians to gain expertise in all aspects of controls build.
  • Perform tasks such as drilling, tapping holes, mounting wireways and DIN rails, and wiring components.
  • Create cutouts and knockouts for enclosures.
  • Manage the job parts shelf, ensuring all necessary components are received.
  • Keep the drawing packet updated with the latest revisions.
  • Communicate essential project changes with the job leader, engineers, and other team members.
  • Assist with panel build and machine wiring.
  • Support the power up procedure.
  • Participate in installation at customer sites.
  • Engrave ID tags for components.
  • Observe safety procedures.
  • Maintain a clean orderly work area.
  • Perform any other task assigned by management within scope of position, federal and state regulations.
