About The Position

Position Summary: We are seeking a dependable and safety-conscious Cable Puller to support electrical installation projects in a shipyard environment. The Cable Puller is responsible for assisting marine electricians by pulling, routing, and securing electrical cables aboard ships and marine vessels. This role plays a vital part in ensuring timely and accurate cable installations across a variety of shipboard systems. Key Responsibilities: Pull, route, and secure electrical cables through bulkheads, overheads, and cable trays aboard ships Assist with the setup and organization of cable reels, pulleys, and pulling equipment Support electricians with cable identification, labeling, and termination prep Install cable supports, clamps, and penetrations as required Maintain a clean and organized work area while following safety and quality standards Ensure cables are protected from damage during installation Report any obstructions or issues that could impact routing or cable integrity

Requirements

  • 0–2 years of experience in electrical or marine environments (shipyard experience preferred)
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Physically able to lift, pull, and work in confined spaces or elevated areas aboard ships
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, physically demanding environments
  • Basic understanding of hand tools and safety procedures
  • Must be able to obtain access credentials for shipyard entry (e.g., DBIDS, TWIC)

  • Team player with strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
  • Prior experience in military or commercial ship repair is a plus
