GDIT is seeking a Marine Electrician to support the SACSS program in Seattle, Washington. This is an onsite position. The role involves repairing, installing, replacing, and testing electrical circuits, cables, equipment, and connectors. The electrician will use hand tools and testing equipment to inspect and test electrical systems, isolate defects, and replace faulty components. Work may involve dismantling electrical machinery and replacing defective electrical or mechanical parts. The position requires working from drawings, blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams, and performing all work in accordance with established safety procedures. Participation in special projects and obtaining necessary badges (DBIDS and shipyard) are also required. The job involves working on and climbing ladders, in extreme temperatures, aboard ships, in shipyards, under industrial conditions, and in confined spaces. The role also includes lifting and carrying heavy equipment up to 75 lbs and may require travel.
