Performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled technical and repair work in electrical repairs and in maintaining electrical elements of machinery and mechanical equipment, such as engines, motors, lighting, generators, control and safety systems, communication equipment and production machines and equipment. This role involves maintaining clean and safe working environments, adhering to permit-to-work requirements, and possessing knowledge of all production electrical related equipment. The electrician will also train and motivate peers, interact with other technicians on maintenance issues, and perform skilled work in installing and repairing electrical components, conduit, cable, and vaults. Responsibilities include inspecting, testing, calibrating, and adjusting electrical systems, ensuring compliance with codes, assisting with new equipment installation and start-up, and conducting duties in a manner that protects the environment. The role requires reporting all incidents and near-misses, understanding and participating in the Management of Change (MOC) system, and maintaining equipment records. Troubleshooting electrical devices, performing repairs on electrical, instrument, analyzer, air conditioning, and heating systems, and reading electrical drawings are key functions. The electrician will also maintain inventory, estimate project costs, and adhere to company budgets, while collaborating effectively in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality.
