About The Position
Amentum is seeking an Electrician-Journeyman to join their team in Springfield, VA to support their government customer. The role involves inspecting, repairing, replacing, installing, adjusting, maintaining, and testing all electrical systems and equipment rated 600v or less throughout the facilities. The position requires U.S. Citizenship and a minimum of a Secret Security clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security clearance.
Requirements
- Must have a Journeyman Electrical License.
- Four years of maintenance and/or construction experience in the electrical trade.
- High school, technical school, apprenticeship, trade school graduate or equivalent.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must have at least a Secret security clearance and be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security clearance.

- A willingness to work rotational shifts, including days, evenings, and nights, as well as overtime, weekends, and holidays, as required.
Responsibilities
- Work from prints, diagrams, specifications, and instructions covering emergency and scheduled repairs, as well as demolition, installation, testing, and inspection of work on electrical systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance, repair, or replacement of electrical equipment on AC and/or DC systems.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, modify, install, and repair electrical equipment and circuits using prints, diagrams, and test instruments.
- Test, inspect, clean, repair, dismantle, adjust, replace, assemble, maintain, and lubricate all manual or automatic AC and DC systems, electrical equipment, transformers, switchgear, control panels, regulators, and various other electrical apparatus.
- Utilize a thorough working knowledge of national and local electrical codes.
- Prepare and maintain records and reports on electrical systems and equipment as required for maintenance programs based on test information.
- Install conduit, wiring, and electrical apparatus.
- Read blueprints and generate a bill of materials.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
- Maintain part and tool inventories.
- Direct other repair personnel as assigned.
