About The Position

Lincoln Tech is hiring Electrician Instructors for its Electrical and Electronic Systems program at its new campus in Houston, Texas. Instructors provide practical, hands-on instruction in a fully equipped facility and teach Lincoln Tech’s accredited curriculum. The role includes teaching electrical systems, safety procedures, and industry regulations; supporting and motivating students; evaluating and communicating student progress; and preparing students with the skills and knowledge for careers in the electrical and electronics systems industry. Teaching experience is not required, and Lincoln Tech supports industry experts transitioning into teaching. The position offers a four-day work week and a three-day weekend.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in the residential, commercial, or industrial electrical industry.
• Experience installing and servicing electrical equipment.
• Understanding of single-phase and three-phase systems.
• Knowledge of electrical codes.
• High school diploma or GED.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with motor controls, lighting controls, or solar.
• Experience or knowledge of low-voltage systems.
• Teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver practical, hands-on instruction in Electrical and Electronics Systems using the facility’s equipment.
• Teach the Lincoln Tech accredited course curriculum and ensure students develop a thorough understanding of electrical systems.
• Teach safety procedures and industry regulations.
• Encourage professionalism, accountability, and continuous development among students.
• Assess student performance, communicate progress, and provide feedback to guide improvement.
• Prepare students with the skills and knowledge needed to pursue careers in the field.
