Electrician General Foreperson
About The Position
The General Foreperson performs duties and responsibilities assigned by their immediate supervisor and provides crews with the information, drawings, specifications, materials, tools, and equipment needed to complete their work. The role supports planning and scheduling, promotes safe work practices, monitors paperwork and employee performance, and helps identify productive, cost-efficient work methods. The foreperson also evaluates, assists, and trains assigned employees, prepares them for additional responsibilities, and keeps management informed of significant information.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience in the industrial construction or maintenance industry.
Nice To Haves
- NCEER certification (preferred).
- Supervisory experience (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and scheduling.
- Enforce safe practices and job safety programs.
- Monitor paperwork for accuracy, clarity, and completeness.
- Analyze work to identify more productive, cost-efficient methods.
- Monitor employee performance and provide written evaluations, assistance, and training to assigned employees.
- Prepare employees for additional responsibilities.
- Keep management informed of significant information.
- Provide crews with the information, drawings, specifications, materials, tools, and equipment needed to accomplish the work.
