About The Position

We are seeking an experienced CCQ electrician who can act as a foreman on certain industrial projects. The journeyman foreman supervises and coordinates electrical work on a specific industrial project to ensure safe, efficient execution in compliance with applicable standards. In addition to actively participating in electrical work, the individual acts as a technical reference on site and ensures coordination of activities, resources, and operational priorities. Particular attention will be given to the quality of installations, adherence to project schedules, and the application of health and safety best practices.

Requirements

  • Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) in Electricity
  • Valid CCQ competency card – Journeyman Electrician
  • Experience supervising or coordinating industrial electrical work
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage priorities
  • Strong leadership and excellent communication skills
  • Good knowledge of electrical standards and construction site practices in Quebec
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documents
  • Health, safety, and quality-oriented mindset
  • Autonomous, resourceful, and responsible
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license
  • Availability to work on a specific project and travel as required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in French
  • English proficiency to serve clients in Atlantic Canada and interact with US suppliers, ensuring effective communication and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of electricians on site
  • Plan work activities and ensure project timelines are met
  • Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documents
  • Participate in the installation, connection, modification, and commissioning of electrical equipment
  • Ensure the quality of completed work and compliance with applicable electrical standards
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental procedures on site
  • Coordinate material, equipment, and manpower requirements
  • Support technical teams and act as a field reference for clients and stakeholders
  • Monitor work progress and report issues or deviations
  • Participate in troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance activities when required
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
