About The Position

The Electrician Foreman is responsible for ensuring safe and efficient electrical work on industrial construction projects. This role involves identifying and correcting unsafe practices, overseeing craft tasks, coordinating with other trades, interpreting blueprints and specifications, and managing project scope, priorities, and schedules. The Foreman must also ensure work quality meets established standards, manage costs, and submit accurate reports.

Requirements

6 years of industrial construction experience.
2 years in a Supervisory role.
Ability to identify practices and conditions that are safe and at risk.
Ability to check the adequacy of existing job/task methods and procedures.
Ability to instruct journeymen in specific craft tasks including safety procedures and techniques.
Knowledge of other craft disciplines for work coordination and conflict prevention.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Understanding of job specifications.
Ability to implement Bechtel job procedures and work rules.
Ability to inspect finished work for quality and completeness.
Understanding of the work scope and integration of project priorities.
Understanding of work priorities and schedules.
Ability to complete planned work on schedule.
Ability to identify potential problems in a timely manner.
Ability to take quick remedial action when work performed is not according to drawings and specifications, code requirements, or to quality of accepted construction standards.
Familiarity with project cost control procedures.
Commitment to stay within established cost goals and unit rate standards.
Ability to ensure accurate reports are submitted with regard to time sheets, backcharges, quantity, and work status.

Responsibilities

Ensure accurate submission of reports (time sheets, backcharges, quantity, work status).
