About The Position

Responsible for effectively maintaining all electrical equipment throughout the property. This role involves responding to work orders, assisting other engineers and mechanics, and handling day-to-day electrical operations. The electrician will routinely inspect electrical equipment, identify and repair potential problems or safety hazards, and take readings on all electrical equipment. Responsibilities also include wiring electrical equipment for convention exhibits and special events, maintaining an adequate supply of materials, coordinating and installing new electrical equipment and wiring, and maintaining necessary logs for conformance with established standards. The position ensures adherence to all OSHA safety requirements and safety policies. Additionally, the role promotes an atmosphere of fun for casino guests and encourages mutual respect, dignity, and integrity among employees by setting positive examples.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy and procedure manuals, maintenance instructions, and other related documents.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries from other employees or guests.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense reasoning to variety of situations.
  • Regularly required to talk or hear.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, sit and use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls.
  • Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, and to sit, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Regularly required to climb a twelve (12) foot ladder.
  • Regularly required to lift and/or move up to seventy-five (75) pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Applicant must successfully pass a color blindness test to distinguish color.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
  • Occupationally significant combination of vocational education, apprentice training, in-plant training and on-the-job training preferred.
  • Appropriate electrical certification preferred.
