Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years experience in the commercial, industrial or marine electrical field
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Read and interpret marine drawings and/or blueprints utilizing both metric and standard measurements

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) year shipboard experience (sonar, radar, power, internal communication, navigation, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Layout, installation and repair of shipboard cables, lighting, and electronic equipment, as well as the ships power.
  • Utilize an assortment of hand and power tools, a variety of test equipment along with a working knowledge of blue prints, drawings and schematics.
  • Working at different heights, confined spaces, different weather conditions as well as multiple shifts 24 hours a day.
  • May be required to work either day or night dependent upon the number of ships under construction at any one point in time.
  • Working safely in all situations with safety procedures meeting, and most times, exceeding industry standards.
