About The Position

The Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems Engineering department is responsible for the design and certification of aircraft electrical wire harnesses. Wire harnesses are the backbone of the aircraft power distribution and control/monitoring systems. They provide interconnection between electrically activated and monitored components. EWIS engineering is responsible for the airplane wiring, wiring devices, conduits, shields and clamps, installed in any area of the airplane for the purpose of transmitting electrical energy. Some examples of EWIS deliverables include wire diagrams, loom drawings, 3D installations, secondary structure design, certification documentation, reports, inspection plans and engineering dispositions.

Requirements

  • Must be actively enrolled in school during the time of the internship.
  • Expected graduation December 2027 or later.
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above must be listed on your resume.
  • Must be enrolled as a full-time student at the time of application and actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • Completion of sophomore year is required prior to the internship start date.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • This job requires one to be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
