About The Position

Electrical Test Engineer Co-Ops at iRhythm work passionately to deliver innovative solutions that improve the quality of healthcare and the patient experience. In this role you will contribute directly to near and long-term commercialization efforts for our next-generation wearable bio-sensors, collaborating alongside a small team of multi-disciplinary engineers experienced in bringing medical devices to market. You will be treated as a regular member of the engineering team, inclusive of the associated projects, deliverables and accountability. This is a full-time, six-month Engineering Internship / Cooperative Education (Co-op) assignment for a current student. It offers internship-style learning, mentorship, and meaningful project work, but it is not a traditional summer internship. Candidates must be available for the full January through June 2027 assignment in San Francisco.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a PhD or Master’s or Bachelor's degree in biomedical, mechanical, electrical, or a similar engineering discipline
  • Strong EE fundamentals
  • Detail-oriented with excellent troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
  • Strong understand of analog and digital circuits, with underlying strength in math and physics
  • Hands-on lab experience including soldering, data acquisition, lab test equipment: multi-meters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, etc
  • Hands-on experience in prototype bring-up, debugging and functional verification
  • Familiarity with schematic and layout tools (Altium a bonus) as well as circuit analysis and simulation tools (SPICE)
  • Experience with a scripting language for analyzing and plotting data (Python a plus)
  • Ability to use Office tools: spreadsheets, word processor, etc
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable working with minimal supervision
  • Must be available for the full January through June 2027 assignment in San Francisco.
