About The Position

The Electrical Assembly Technician is responsible for performing electrical tasks on packaging lines, palletizing, and shipping automation equipment. We design, develop and manufacture case packers and tray packing solutions for flexible and other tough-to-handle packages such as doypacks, pillow bags, and four-sided sealed bags. Built for around-the-clock operation, these solutions have a worldwide reputation for their quick change-over, flexibility, speed, and comprehensive design. Requirements

  • Minimum of a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 1 year of experience in an electrical controls manufacturing/production environment required. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.
  • Ability to interpret and understand any and all electrical and mechanical drawings required
  • Experience in layouts and function of electrical control cabinets required.
  • Experience in conduit bending.
  • Ability to use power tools, ex. drills, saws, grinders, and cutting wheels.
  • Basic computer skills are required to open drawings and 3D models.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow instructions, make decisions, solve problems, exercise good judgment and flexibility in an effort to maintain the schedule.
  • Good communication, organization, and interpersonal skills are required.
  • High awareness of client satisfaction level and client needs.
  • Applicants must be capable of working under tight time constraints in a high-volume environment with multiple priorities.
  • The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic and good problem-solving skills and be able to interact efficiently with others.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of electrical controls wiring preferred.
  • Experience in industrial automation preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Wire low voltage case packing equipment as instructed.
  • Wire complete control cabinets by schematics, e.g. transformers, relays, safety circuits
  • Wire all field devices by schematics, e.g. photo eyes, various switches, junction boxes
  • Assembly of Electrical or Mechanical assemblies as instructed.
  • Bend and route conduit as instructed
  • Assemble various conveyor assemblies as instructed.
  • Maintain all 5S standards.
  • Periodic travel may be required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
