About The Position

ProChem is seeking a hard working, experienced electrical technician to join our Water Systems Fabrication & Installation team. You would be responsible for fabricating, installing, and troubleshooting control panels as well as completing the electrical portion of system installations. The ideal candidate will have experience running running conduit, pulling wire, installing filed instrumentation, writing motors, and working with 480VAC, 120VAC, and 24VDC. You will travel frequently within the United States for short and extended periods such as overnight and over weekends (for system installations). Travel is conducted by road or air. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience as an electrical technician in an industrial setting
  • Experience running conduit, pulling wire, installing filed instrumentation, wiring motors, and working with 480VAC, 120VAC, and 24VDC
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Knowledge of safety regulations
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Driver's License
  • Willingness to travel: 25%
  • Electrical: 2 years (Required)
  • Electrical wiring: 2 years (Required)
  • 480VAC, 120VAC, 24VDC: 2 years (Required)
  • running conduit: 2 years (Required)

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate and assemble industrial control panels according to specifications
  • Install, wire, and test control panels and field instruments
  • Install conduit and run electrical wiring
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical problems in control panels and field instruments
  • Complete electrical portions of system installations, including wiring motors and other equipment
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulation and company policy
  • Perform other related fabrication and installation duties as assigned to support the overall success of the project
