About The Position

The Electrical Technician is central to the production facility and operations, primarily responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of automated water treatment equipment and associated electrical systems. A critical part of this role is guaranteeing the correct installation of all electrical components, including motors, sensors, and control systems. The Electrical Technician operates with limited supervision to execute a range of intricate technical operations within the production environment. This role involves working on various projects, requiring the candidate to assemble, integrate, and troubleshoot complex electrical and control systems.

Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent.
  • Electrician Certification
  • Three years’ experience as an Electrician in a manufacturing/production/industrial facility/environment.
  • Verbal and written communication.
  • Active listening.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite or similar software.
  • Understanding of OSHA regulations and other safety standards.
  • Ability to implement and enforce safety procedures.
  • Conflict resolution.
  • Teamwork and collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Performs commercial and industrial electrical work to support the facility and mobile water treatment equipment operations, refurbishment and repair.
  • Performs skilled electrical maintenance, construction and repair of mobile equipment and electrical systems in accordance with appropriate codes.
  • Performs troubleshooting on PLC, ladder logic and control circuits.
  • Installs transformers, control boards, electronic circuits, coils, circuit breakers, voltage regulators switches, fuses, and related electrical equipment
  • Troubleshoots, performs repairs and tests a variety of commercial and industrial electrical and associated water treatment equipment
  • Reviews and interprets electrical blueprints, plans, and schematics and determines material lists and costs as required.
  • Establishes, performs and documents preventative and predictive maintenance.
  • Evaluates processes to make recommendations for improvements.
  • Acts as a resource by providing electrical information and recommendations.
  • Prepares and completes reports, forms and other documentation as required.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by Supervisor.
