Electrical Systems Engineer
About The Position
Altitude Aerospace delivers engineering and certification solutions for commercial and VIP aircraft programs worldwide. With FAA DER, EASA DOA, and TCCA DAO approvals, we support customers from concept through certification and in-service. Our 150+ person team across the US, Canada, and France works on programs for major OEMs and completion centers globally. This role involves bringing wiring design skills to custom aircraft interiors, primarily on wide-body aircraft. The engineer will create wire diagrams and wire kits for VIP interiors, ensuring designs are certifiable, and will work within a proprietary electrical design tool. The team values clear communication and provides support for learning new tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Mid level: 3+ years of aircraft electrical systems or wire harness design experience
- Senior level: 7+ years of aircraft electrical systems or wire harness design experience
- Experience creating wire diagrams with an electrical CAD tool such as AutoCAD Electrical, and willingness to learn a new tool
- Working knowledge of aircraft wiring standards and certification documentation
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident and able to perform this work within the United States
- Able to work onsite in the Bothell, WA area
- Background check and drug screen required
- ITAR eligibility required
Nice To Haves
- EWIS (Electrical Wiring Interconnection System) experience
- VIP or business jet completions background
- Experience learning a proprietary or less common electrical CAD tool
Responsibilities
- Create wire diagrams and wire kits for aircraft electrical systems on active VIP completion programs.
- Ensure all designs and documentation are certifiable for the program.
- Learn and work within a proprietary electrical design tool, similar to AutoCAD Electrical, with train up time provided.
- Work closely with engineering leads and other disciplines as designs integrate.
- Ask questions freely.
