About The Position

The Electrical Superintendent is a senior, shore-based technical authority responsible for the safe, reliable, and regulatory-compliant operation of electrical and electronic systems across an assigned group of Holland America Line and Seabourn vessels. The role provides expert technical support to shipboard teams and serves as the primary electrical interface among vessels, vendors, and shore-based stakeholders. It oversees electrical projects and dry-dock scopes, electrical CAPEX and OPEX, service agreements, and contractor performance. Working with shipboard Chief Electrical Officers and cross-functional partners, the role supports project execution, regulatory compliance, risk assessment, and fleetwide consistency. It provides technical direction and decision support, delegating operational tasks where appropriate, and makes regular ship visits to assess system performance, maintenance practices, and risks. This in-office position is based in Seattle, with employees working from the office Monday through Thursday and from home on Fridays. International travel and shipboard inspections are required; travel is estimated at 25–50%. The role may occasionally require work beyond normal business hours or on weekends.
