J2 Company is seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent with a strong background in commercial construction, state and federal projects, and facilities maintenance. This role requires a proven leader with extensive knowledge of NEC, OSHA, and safety standards, skilled in supervising crews, managing schedules and budgets, and ensuring quality and compliance across all phases of construction. The ideal candidate will be an effective communicator with a hands-on leadership style and a consistent record of delivering safe, compliant, and on-time projects.

Requirements

Strong background in commercial construction, state and federal projects, and facilities maintenance.
Proven leader with extensive knowledge of NEC, OSHA, and safety standards.
Skilled in supervising crews, managing schedules and budgets, and ensuring quality and compliance.
Effective communicator with a hands-on leadership style.
Consistent record of delivering safe, compliant, and on-time projects.

Responsibilities

Supervise electrical construction activities on commercial, state, and federal projects.
Lead electricians and field technicians across multiple job sites, ensuring efficient use of labor and resources.
Coordinate installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical distribution systems, conductors, controls, and associated equipment.
Serve as Site Safety Representative, enforcing OSHA requirements and conducting toolbox talks and safety meetings.
Review drawings, specifications, and project documentation for NEC and contract compliance.
Support Quality Control efforts by ensuring work aligns with approved submittments and project standards.
Maintain accurate daily reports, safety logs, manpower tracking, and incident documentation.
Manage schedules, sequencing, and manpower to meet project milestones while adapting to scope or budget changes.
Collaborate with Project Management, Quality Control, prefabrication, purchasing, and accounting departments.
Order materials, manage inventory, and oversee job site logistics.
Troubleshoot electrical, motor, and control systems.
Participate in hands-on field work when required to maintain progress and quality.
Train, mentor, and provide direction to less experienced electricians.
Approve timesheets, attendance, time-off requests, and weekly field reports.
Enforce company policies, quality standards, and professional job site conduct.
Maintain open communication with clients, inspectors, and government representatives.
Ensure proper use, maintenance, and inventory of tools, equipment, and company vehicles.
