Herzog Energy, Inc. is currently seeking a highly motivated Electrical Superintendent in the United States to join our team. This role involves overseeing the management of electrical construction activities and task assignments for utility-scale solar and BESS projects. The Electrical Superintendent will collaborate with project management and other departments to ensure all required materials, equipment, and inspections support the project schedule. They will also work with Project Manager(s) to budget, forecast, and manage craft labor, equipment, materials, small tools, consumables, and the general working environment. A key responsibility is ensuring construction documents, drawings, specifications, and electrical requirements are reviewed for completeness, constructability, and field execution requirements. The position also entails leading the creation, review, and update of project schedules and three-week look ahead scheduling, and overseeing electrical installation activities including DC collection systems, AC systems, inverters, transformers, medium voltage collection systems, substations, and related electrical scopes. Developing and implementing site utilization plans, establishing crew sizes, and driving effective pre-construction planning sessions and project site meetings are also part of the role. The Electrical Superintendent will monitor electrical installation progress, testing activities, and quality requirements to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications. Identifying hiring needs and participating in hiring, discipline, and dismissal decisions, as well as implementing Herzog’s Safety without Compromise, are crucial. The role requires coordinating with subcontractors, vendors, engineers, and field teams to resolve electrical installation issues and maintain project schedule, and supporting testing, commissioning, energization, and project turnover activities. Developing relationships with customers, subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders is essential for successful project execution. Regular and consistent engagement, participation, and promotion of Herzog’s Culture and its essential behaviors, along with regular and predictable attendance and punctuality, are requirements for this position.
