About The Position

Gold Medal is seeking a professional, customer-focused Electrical Service Technician to diagnose, repair, install, and maintain residential electrical systems while providing homeowners with outstanding service and trusted solutions. The technician travels throughout the service area, coordinates with dispatch, maintains a company vehicle and its inventory, and helps customers evaluate repair and replacement options. This is full-time, year-round employment with opportunities for career advancement.

Requirements

Previous experience as an electrician.
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
Knowledge of local electrical codes and industry standards.
Ability to work collaboratively with inspectors, suppliers, and team members.
Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, and technical drawings.
Commitment to ongoing training and professional development.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds.
Strong communication and customer service skills.

Nice To Haves

Residential service experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and install electrical systems and components in residential homes.
Deliver exceptional customer service and build strong customer relationships.
Educate homeowners about repair, replacement, and financing options.
Maintain company vehicle inventory, tools, parts, and safety equipment.
Travel throughout the service area and coordinate with dispatch for efficient scheduling.
Complete required paperwork and obtain customer authorization for completed work.
Meet performance goals and contribute to company growth.
Assist customers in evaluating repair-versus-replacement solutions.
Generate and schedule replacement consultations when appropriate.
Maintain high-quality workmanship and safety standards.
